Sr. Physical Design Engineer - STA

Salary: $183,000 - 247,600 per year Requirements:

• We need scripting experience in Perl, Python, or JavaScript.
• We require a BS with 8+ years of experience, an MS with 6+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• We need strong fundamentals in timing analysis.
• We require at least 3 years of Static Timing Analysis experience.
• We need at least 3 years of timing constraint development experience.
• We require experience using EDA timing analysis tools such as PrimeTime, Tempus, or similar.
• We need an understanding of ASIC physical design from RTL to GDSII.
• We require knowledge of other sign-off activities such as IR/EM, physical verification, and DFT.
• Preferred: We value mentoring, leadership, and coaching experience.
• Preferred: We value expertise in building flows with STA tools such as PrimeTime or Tempus.
• Preferred: We value experience with ECO flows such as PT-DMSA, Tempus-ECO, or Tweaker.

• Preferred: We value experience with parasitic extraction tools such as STAR-RC or Quantus.
• Preferred: We value circuit-level analysis experience using tools like SPICE or SPECTRE.

• We develop and maintain flows for block-level and full-chip static timing analysis.
• We write, debug, and validate timing constraints for both blocks and full chips.
• We run Static Timing Analysis and provide regular feedback to team members and leads.
• We guide timing closure efforts, including ECO generation and constraint fixes.
• We create scripts to automate timing analysis runs and report generation.
• We collaborate closely with physical design engineers and RTL/architecture teams as a high-impact startup-like team.
