Intelligent Events is seeking a highly connected and resourceful NYC Venue Scout to identify and secure standout hospitality venues for our growing calendar of events.

This job will be remote however we are only considering NYC BASED applicants. If you are not currently based in New York - you will not be considered for this role.

For the past three years, Intelligent Events has built a successful track record producing events across the U.S. and in New York City , with a particular focus on upscale social events for professional, educated singles .

We are looking for someone who understands that audience and knows which Manhattan venues can deliver the right combination of atmosphere, service, location, quality, and sophistication.

You should have extensive experience in promotions, nightlife management, venue management or any other related position where you have developed a deep understanding of the hospitality market, the nightlife business, and have contacts broadly across the same.

What You’ll Do

• Research and identify potential venues throughout Manhattan
• Source restaurants, cocktail bars, lounges, rooftops, hotels, private event spaces, and other upscale hospitality locations
• Identify venues that are particularly well suited to professional, educated singles events
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective venue partners
• Contact venue owners, general managers, event directors, sales managers, and hospitality groups
• Conduct venue visits and evaluate spaces in person
• Assess capacity, layout, atmosphere, clientele, neighborhood, accessibility, food and beverage requirements, minimum spends, rental fees, and other event considerations
• Negotiate favorable venue terms and recurring partnership opportunities
• Match venues to specific event concepts, demographics, attendance levels, and price points
• Maintain organized records of contacts, availability, pricing, terms, photos, and venue notes
• Develop long-term relationships with NYC hospitality operators and venue groups
• Stay current on new openings, emerging hospitality concepts, and venues that may be a strong fit for our audience

Who We’re Looking For:

• Must be based in Manhattan
• Deep familiarity with the NYC hospitality, restaurant, bar, hotel, lounge, and nightlife landscape
• Strong understanding of venues appropriate for an upscale, professional, educated singles demographic
• Existing relationships with venue owners, managers, hospitality groups, or event professionals are strongly preferred
• A successful track record in NYC hospitality, venue sourcing, event production, nightlife, venue sales, partnerships, or a closely related field
• Comfortable making calls, conducting outreach, visiting venues, and building new relationships
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Highly organized and capable of managing a large pipeline of venue opportunities
• Resourceful and proactive, with the ability to uncover venues beyond the obvious choices
• Strong judgment about what makes a venue commercially and operationally viable for a ticketed social event
• Reliable, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving events environment

You will consistently uncover strong new Manhattan venue opportunities, establish relationships with key decision-makers, negotiate workable event terms, and expand our network of reliable hospitality partners.

We are especially interested in candidates who already know the NYC hospitality landscape and can begin opening doors immediately.
