Job Description We are seeking an experienced Accountant II to support all accounting functions related to GCD-Content Licensing contracts. The role requires strong experience with sub-systems, general ledgers, and revenue recognition, and a proven ability to interpret complex license agreements, execute period close activities, and deliver accurate reporting and reconciliations. Responsibilities: Analyze and report on GCD license agreements, including license fee calculations and payment terms per contract. Execute month-end and quarter-end close, including revenue recognition and Trial Balance reconciliations. Analyze and explain monthly Foreign Exchange variances and performance versus Forecast/Plan. Perform Present Value analysis, inter/intra company and related-party reporting, and quarterly Bad Debt analysis. Complete monthly Clearing Account/BITIN Cash reconciliations and track and report Revenue Share deals. Support GAAP/statutory audits and ensure SOX and key controls are met monthly. Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger and deliver ad hoc reporting and analysis. Work overtime as needed to meet deadlines. Sub-System (PRISM/TVR) Responsibilities: Review new contracts and change orders in PRISM to validate accuracy of financial data entered by Deal Management. Review PRISM-generated accounting transactions to ensure accurate monthly reporting. Maintain Pay TV expression deals in PRISM, update client-reported subscribers, and resolve issues. Partner with IT to develop, test, and implement new Pay TV expression deals per contractual terms. Conduct revenue reviews and analyses, including Stagger, Non-Delivery, Straight-Line analysis of DSTAR revenues, Renewal (Back-to-Back) license fees, and Cash in Advance. Non-GCD Responsibilities: Manage Entitlements journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Perform Non-Theatrical (TDS) reconciliations and reporting. Create invoices, reconcile aging, and report within the TREC sub-system. Required Skills & Qualifications: BA/BS in Finance or Accounting. 3-6 years of experience in a similar accounting role. Experience with accounting sub-systems and general ledgers, including PRISM, TVR, SAP, Oracle, and reporting tools such as COGNOS, BW, and SMARTVIEW. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with proficiency in MS Excel and Word. Preferred Skills: CPA or progress toward certification. Entertainment industry experience. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment. Systems Environment: Accounting Sub-Systems: TVR (CBS Legacy), PPC/CBS PRISM, COGNOS, TREC.
