LCSW or LPCC Behavioral Health Clinician - Clinic position

Location: 1325 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112-5046 Summary The Behavioral Health Clinician will provide assessment and evidence‑based care to individuals, families, and groups in a variety of settings, including a clinic‑based adult behavioral health program with no call requirement. Responsibilities The Behavioral Health Clinician, as part of an integrated care team, identifies, triages, and manages patients with behavioral health problems within a variety of settings, and develops specific behavioral health change plans for patients and behavioral health protocols for target populations. Performs counseling and case management for each patient assigned, including assessment; diagnosis; care planning; intervention (counseling patients and significant others, facilitating brief psychotherapy and educational groups, planning discharges); and evaluation (identifying unmet or new therapy services). Demonstrates therapeutic core conditions of genuineness, empathy, and positive regard when interacting with patients and significant others, according to accepted clinical practice. Performs risk‑management documentation and follow‑up action, such as responding to patient complaints and contributing to completion of Problem Resolution Report and Report of Adverse Risk Event (RARE). Recommends program cost‑control measures to supervisor. Participates in the internal Continuous Quality Improvement process, such as peer review, audits, Joint Commission survey preparation, and implementation of clinical paths. Selects and provides clinical supervision to adjunctive therapists and student interns to ensure appropriate behavior‑ and skill‑based competencies. Maintains accurate, complete and current patient documentation. Recommends safety and therapeutic quality measures for unit areas or rooms to charge nurse. Sets a professional role‑model example for other staff through quality of clinical practice, work habits, and engagement in professional development. Performs other functions as required.
