The ideal PR professional has proven experience in B2B and B2C media as well as influencer relations. At least 5 years of PR agency experience overseeing multiple client accounts and team members is required. We are looking for a highly motivated agency professional who leads with integrity, cares for their teams and clients and is committed to exceptional service and continuous improvement. Our chosen candidate is communicative, humble and proactive, excelling independently to oversee mid and enterprise-level account management, client communications and mentorship of junior team members. The candidate’s enthusiasm and positive energy will foster a collaborative and innovative environment, setting the tone for the agency, team and clients. Summary The PR Account Manager (AM) is a primary account contact for clients and the team. Primary responsibilities are to understand the scope of the PR program the agency is executing for each client, help drive account strategy, oversee junior team members, perform the work and drive results alongside team members and deliver regular reporting on all campaigns to measure against KPIs, as well as contribute to new business development. The AM also has: Vibrant energy, enthusiasm and a genuine go-getter attitude Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Creativity, strategic thinking and innovation Strong copywriting and marketing expertise Rockstar presentation skills with commercial awareness and business acumen Extensive industry knowledge and networking experience Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple top-tier accounts and tasks Service-oriented and confidentiality-sensitive Passion for current PR trends and tools Basic understanding of digital marketing and its application to PR Responsibilities/Duties Manage a portfolio of PR accounts and serve as a trusted consultant/advisor for clients, building relationships with existing and new clients and providing innovative and creative ideas regularly Display proficiency and fundamental understanding in various aspects of digital marketing while recognizing the interconnectedness and integration with the digital landscape Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop integrated strategies that combine PR and digital marketing expertise Regularly develop new PR strategies, creative ideas, and plans, focusing on mid-level clients Effectively communicate big picture logistics and tactics to both internal and external stakeholders Liaise and consult with clients regarding press campaigns, creative projects, and PR solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and meeting key performance indicators Manage media relations opportunities in full, speaking to journalists and other members of the press Develop news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services Analyze and present PR coverage, data and provide written reports Fulfill the client’s key performance indicators and grow accounts Lead, motivate and coach junior team members in their respective roles, driving retention and team growth and performance Contribute to new business pitches and develop compelling PR proposals, as well as identify and pursue upselling opportunities with current clients Requirements BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field 6+ years of experience, minimum of 5 years in an agency environment Proven media skills across print, online and broadcast Excellent content writing and copyediting skills Creative and strategic thinker Proficient with tools like Slack, Asana and Google Docs Strong initiative, leadership and work ethic Exceptional verbal, written and non-verbal communication skills Adaptable, confident and professional Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to work remotely in a collaborative, virtual team environment Basic digital marketing knowledge to enhance PR efforts Salary/Benefits Remote team environment, working from your own professional work space Some travel may be required Full medical and dental benefits Generous PTO policy 401K Match Summer Fridays Eligible for discretionary bonuses and earned promotions Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Marketing, Public Relations, and Writing/Editing Industries Public Relations and Communications Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Bolt PR (A Millwright Agency) by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Public Relations Account Manager” roles.
