Applications Engineer - Pump Manufacturer (36226)

An international pump manufacturing company is currently searching for a motivated Applications Engineer to support their team in Syracuse, NY area. The ideal candidate has work closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering departments to provide technical support, product recommendations, and customized pumping solutions for various industrial applications. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Applications Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Review customer specifications and application requirements
• Recommend appropriate pump products and system solutions
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and product documentation
• Provide technical support to customers and internal sales teams
• Assist with product selection, sizing, and performance calculations
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams on custom projects
• Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
• Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and project discussions
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and company products
• Other duties as assigned

Applications Engineer Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
• Experience in pumps, fluid systems, rotating equipment, or industrial manufacturing preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
