Title: Lead Solutions Engineer - Data Marketplace
Duration: 6 months
Location: Hybrid in Washington, NJ (3 days onsite per week)

Role Summary
We are seeking a Solutions Engineer with strong Informatica platform experience and deep automation and integration engineering expertise to design, architect, and deliver end-to-end solutions that enable an enterprise data marketplace and broader data platform capabilities. This role is hands-on and cross-cutting, requiring the ability to architect solutions both within Informatica-including metadata, catalog, integration, governance, data quality, and automation capabilities-and outside of Informatica, integrating with cloud platforms, data engineering ecosystems, analytics tools, and AI-enabled services.
The role requires broad technical depth, strong architectural judgment, and a focus on building automated, scalable, and resilient integrations. You will partner closely with product managers, platform teams, data engineers, security, governance, and business stakeholders to evolve the data marketplace and supporting enterprise data services.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design

• Architect end-to-end data marketplace and data platform integrations spanning Informatica products and non-Informatica enterprise tooling.
• Design scalable, secure, and reliable architectures with an automation-first and integration-by-design mindset.
• Define reference architectures, integration patterns, and extensibility models for marketplace, metadata, governance, and data product use cases.

Informatica Platform Enablement

• Design and implement solutions using Informatica capabilities such as data integration, metadata management, data catalog, governance, data quality, and automation services.
• Configure and extend Informatica platforms to enable automated data product onboarding, discovery, lineage capture, access workflows, and marketplace interactions.
• Partner with Informatica product and professional services teams to close functional gaps, extend platform capabilities, or enable bespoke integrations when required.

Automation & Integration Engineering

• Design and build automated integrations across Informatica and enterprise platforms using APIs, events, workflows, and orchestration frameworks.
• Enable automation across the data product lifecycle, including onboarding, metadata synchronization, lineage propagation, access provisioning, and de-provisioning.
• Build reusable integration components and automation frameworks that reduce manual effort and improve reliability and consistency.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, and workflow automation patterns where appropriate.

Marketplace & Platform Development

• Lead the design and evolution of internal data marketplace services, APIs, and supporting platform components.
• Build and validate proof-of-concepts to de-risk architectural decisions and demonstrate business and platform value.
• Support platform extensibility for future use cases, including analytics enablement, AI/ML workflows, agent-driven consumption, and governance integrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Translate business, governance, and platform requirements into automated, implementation-ready technical designs.
• Collaborate with data engineering, cloud engineering, security, and governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Act as a technical bridge between platform teams, marketplace consumers, and external vendors.

Engineering Excellence & Leadership

• Establish and promote best practices for solution design, automation, performance, security, observability, and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers across marketplace, platform, and integration initiatives.
• Participate in architectural reviews, technical decision-making, and roadmap planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions in distributed, cloud-based environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions using Informatica platforms, including data integration, metadata management, data catalog, governance, data quality, and automation.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or equivalent), designing and integrating data and platform services in cloud-native or hybrid environments.
• 3+ years of experience in automation and systems integration, including API-based integrations, workflow orchestration, and event-driven architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to design solutions that span multiple systems and vendors, not confined to a single platform.
• Experience taking solutions from concept and prototype through production in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving problem spaces.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data marketplaces, data products, or enterprise platform enablement initiatives.
• Familiarity with governance, access control, metadata, lineage, data contracts, or policy-driven automation.
• Experience integrating analytics platforms, semantic layers, or AI/ML workflows with data platforms.
• Prior experience in a solutions engineer, platform architect, or technical lead role.
• Strong interest in automation, developer enablement, and continuous platform improvement.
