It's defined by imposing neoclassical monuments and buildings - including the iconic ones that house the federal government's 3 branches: the Capitol, White House and Supreme Court. It's also home to iconic museums and performing-arts venues such as the Kennedy Center.
Overview (Duties Include But Are Not Limited To)
- Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
- Designs, builds, and implements network systems.
- Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance.
- Troubleshoots network performance issues.
- Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.
- Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.
- Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
- Manages the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WLAN systems.
- Performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, Operating Systems, and other platform specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience and skills shall include a range of assignments in technical tasks directly related to the quoted area of responsibility.
- Expertise in Windows networks, Cisco Systems and Client.
- Has the following certifications aligned to site network architecture: Security+ and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent (i.e., BCNE for Brocade, etc.).
