Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM)

Assignment Dates: 10/20/2026 01/23/2027

Responsibilities

Provide care in a 34-bed unit with private rooms.
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 or 3:1.
Work every other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).

Requirements

Education: BSN required
Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS
Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac progressive care or cardiac step-down experience
Minimum 1 year of inpatient pediatric cardiology experience (ICU or Intermediate Care)
Strong working knowledge of pediatric three-stage single ventricle care
Competence in caring for pediatric cardiology patients, including single ventricle, heart transplant, and ventricular assist devices (VAD)
Previous travel experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered

Preferred Skills

Experience with Pediatric VAD patients
Teaching Hospital experience preferred
