Dietitian

Nutritional Services CoordinatorMaintains a working knowledge of applicable PACE Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, the Compliance Accountability Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to assure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior. Obtains and evaluates nutritional and medical history, laboratory data, test results, current medications, current diet orders and nutritional regimen to determine participant's estimated nutritional needs. Recommends and implements nutrition interventions that assist in maintaining or improving nutritional-related medical diagnoses. Completes nutrition assessments for participants per regulatory guidelines and when needed to assist in developing participant's plan of care and service delivery requests. Instructs participants, family members, staff and contracted providers/facilities on diet, food safety and sanitation. Documents pertinent participant information in the electronic medical record (EMR) and the participant plan of care. Attends Interdisciplinary Team meetings daily and team activities when scheduled. Performs other duties as assigned.EducationBachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and/or food and nutrition that meets or exceeds the requirement by the American Dietetic Association for the registration examination.Successful completion of internship or coordinated undergraduate program that meets the American Dietetic Association guidelines.License(s)/Certification(s)Registration or registration eligible with the Commission on Dietetic RegistrationLicensed or licensed eligible with the State of IowaCurrent CPR/BCLS certificationMaintains current Adult Mandatory Reporter statusMaintains American National Standards Institute accredited food protection/safety certification (i.e. ServSafe Food Protection Manager/Certified Food Safety Manager) or obtained within 90 days for new hire.Valid driver's licenseValid Auto insuranceKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesEffective oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with PACE participants, their families, and other health care professionalsAbility to effectively communicate and work within the Interdisciplinary Team setting.Strong organizational skills.Able to manage changing priorities per needs of the programUse of Microsoft office products.Scheduled Hours/Shift Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PMWork Type (Portal Searching) Full Time Benefits
