Trinidad Benham Corp has been in business for over 100 years, and we know a thing or two about providing stable employment and growth.What You'll Be DoingThe Forklift Operator is primarily responsible for accurately processing orders per schedule, transporting and staging product, and loading and unloading product and supplies in a safe, efficient and timely manner.Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (sit down and stand-up reach) according to training and company safety policies.Read and understand Bills of Lading and Pick Sheets.Using daily pick sheets, accurately and efficiently pick full pallets and case quantities to build full pallets, ensuring first in first out method is followed, shrink wrap pallets when necessary, stage product for loading, check pallets for accuracy to order.Safely load and unload product and other supplies to/from trucks using appropriate forklift (s). Obtains samples of incoming bulk product according to Quality Control Guidelines. Places product in appropriate storage areas.Maintain clean and organized aisles and rack storage, consolidate partial pallets when needed. Ensure product, including partial pallets is organized according to the first in first out inventory methodology.Inventory product as needed, label, sort, wrap and tie product.Hand load product onto containers.Comply with company safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work area.Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) proceduresAccurately complete required paperwork in accordance with company standards.Additional duties as assigned by lead person and/or manager.What We NeedMUST-HAVES:HS Diploma or GED.1 + years recent experience operating Sit Down and Stand-Up reach forklifts in a warehouse environment.Must be able to meet daily production requirements.Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Read and comprehend required paperwork.Writing skills sufficient to complete required paperwork.Ability to perform basic math skillsMust display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment.Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel.Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.NICE-TO-HAVES:1+ years operating Sit Down and Stand Up reach forklifts picking and pulling orders, loading and unloading trucks in a fast paced warehouse environment.WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTFrequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 100 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear.
