Mid-Level Landscape Designer

Base pay range $55,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr About the Opportunity Asakura Robinson is seeking a mid-level landscape designer to join our team with a focus on community-based and public-facing projects. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, mission-driven designer who demonstrates strong design acumen, solid technical skills, and a deep interest in working with historically underserved communities and sustainable environmental and social ecosystems. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to projects that shape public spaces, restore ecological systems, and empower communities. What We’re Looking For Passionate about design and dedicated as a professional designer. Creative, collaborative, and able to contribute in an improvisational and transdisciplinary teamwork environment. Excellent in critical thinking and organizational skills. Empathetic, with a high degree of emotional intelligence and reciprocity thinking. Energizing in a group and team working environment. Strongly self-motivated, responsible, reliable, flexible, and resourceful. Engaged in communities, especially those historically marginalized or underserved. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field. 3–6 years of professional experience in landscape architecture. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software (SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, etc.). Strong graphic communication and conceptual design skills. Working knowledge of landscape design and construction; technically proficient with experience in construction documentation and detailing. Experience in community engagement, participatory design, or public realm projects is a strong plus. Experience in project management. Experience in public presentations and interviews. Licensure or on track for licensure is desirable. Additional Desired Skills Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM), Bluebeam, and GIS mapping. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Job Requirements Ability to travel: local project-related travel as required, including project-related site visits.* Work a minimum of eight hours per day, five days per week. Be able to kneel, crouch, or stoop to position oneself to see different areas of project sites.
