Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating personalized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues either independently or in collaboration with physicians (based on your qualifications)
• Providing essential education to patients and their families regarding prevention, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your practice scope
• Engaging in regular follow-ups and managing chronic care
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (with the ability to obtain within 90 days)
