This contract position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality medical care directly within the community, fostering a patient-centered approach in our medical practice.
As a Locum Primary Care Physician, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services, conducting patient assessments, and formulating effective treatment plans. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care and contribute to achieving the best health outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments for patients
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various medical conditions
- Prescribe medications and manage overall patient care
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to enhance patient care quality
- Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
- Coordinate with specialists for comprehensive patient care
- Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics and professionalism
Requirements
- Valid MD or DO license in the state of California
- Experience in primary care or a related field is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Board certification is a plus
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 7a-5:30p
Call Requirement: Sporadic weeknights (5:30p-7a) and weekends (24-hour)
Daily Admissions Volume: 18 patients
Patient Populations: Adult & geriatric
Case Types: AWVs and acute needs
Support Staff: MA
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
DEA required
Paid travel & expenses
