Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Primary Care

As a Locum Primary Care Physician, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services, conducting patient assessments, and formulating effective treatment plans. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care and contribute to achieving the best health outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments for patients
• Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various medical conditions
• Prescribe medications and manage overall patient care
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to enhance patient care quality
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
• Coordinate with specialists for comprehensive patient care
• Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics and professionalism

Requirements

• Valid MD or DO license in the state of California
• Experience in primary care or a related field is preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Board certification is a plus

Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 7a-5:30p

Call Requirement: Sporadic weeknights (5:30p-7a) and weekends (24-hour)

Daily Admissions Volume: 18 patients

Patient Populations: Adult & geriatric

Case Types: AWVs and acute needs

Support Staff: MA

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified 

DEA required
