Ingenuity Cleveland ignites the spark of creativity among artists, entrepreneurs and innovators of all types, through joy and collaboration, in service to civic progress. Position Overview The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative and operational leader of Ingenuity Cleveland, and is responsible for the organization’s administrative health, long‑term strategic alignment with mission and financial sustainability. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director ensures effective operations, provides steady guidance to staff, maintains funder and community relationships, and stewards the organization’s finances and resources. Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations, ensuring effective program, financial, and administrative management. Supervise and support staff, contractors, and interns; foster a collaborative, mission‑driven workplace. Serve as primary liaison with the Board of Directors; provide updates on finances, operations, and key initiatives. Maintain staffing appropriate to all key programs; be responsible to provide staffing within the organization’s means. Oversee fiscal management, monitoring budgets, managing accounts, ensuring compliance with nonprofit reporting, and preparing financial reports in coordination with Ingenuity Accountant and established accounting practices Ensure contracts, grants, and obligations are honored and that the organization remains in compliance with all requirements. Manage vendor and partner relationships, including landlord, insurance, and service providers. Support ongoing execution of IngenuityFest and year‑round programs, maintaining quality and continuity. Represent Ingenuity at community, civic, and cultural events; maintain strong external relationships. Support ongoing fundraising activities, including donor cultivation, grant management, and sponsorship efforts. Qualifications 5-10 years leadership experience with nonprofit/arts organizations. Fundraising and financial stewardship expertise; flexibility and resilience. Familiarity with Cleveland’s arts ecosystem is preferred.
