Job Title

Travel RN – PACU / Preop (Days) | Rapid Response

Location

Los Alamos, NM | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days (6:30 AM – 3:30 PM) | Some on-call coverage on nights and weekends | Expected approximately 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 3-bed PACU unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Serve in a shared role covering both PACU and Preop functions
• Manage primarily adult patient populations, including monthly ENT cases
• Respond to on-call cases within 30 minutes of notification
• Utilize EHR systems including CQI and Medhost to document patient care
• Comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements prior to or at the start of assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Required certifications at time of submission: BLS, ACLS, PALS — certifications are not available on site
• All clinical staff must be fingerprinted before hire per New Mexico state requirements; candidates may begin on a 14-day waiver while results are pending, with supervision required during that period
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• Must be able to start within 7–10 days of offer acceptance — this is a rapid response need

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Combined Preop and PACU experience
• Familiarity with common diagnoses and procedures such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy
• Experience working in a small acute care facility setting
