Facilities Maintenance Technician

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Maintain and repair the facility, keeping the venue impressive to the public Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure everything runs smoothly, maximizing equipment lifespan and minimizing downtime Respond promptly to customer requests and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting safety and efficiency Education and Experience High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; 1 to 3 years' experience in routine/minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical or related maintenance work OR Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted Knowledge of Basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC repair Standard practices, methods and materials of assigned work Occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices Uses and properties of supplies and equipment Skill In Customer service Providing attention to detail in assignments Operating assigned equipment and supplies Ability To Work effectively as part of a team and coordinate tasks with coworkers Recognize potential hazards, and maintain high standards of quality and safety Manage multiple projects and/or tasks Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as determined by venue events ADA and Other Requirements Work Environment and Physical Effort Medium: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work Environment Work is typically performed in an office or similar indoor environment. Employees may occasionally work in or around outdoor environment, confined spaces, vehicles, warehouse environments, and shop environments. Work Exposures There is frequent exposure to extreme cold (below 32 degrees), extreme heat (above 100 degrees) and moving mechanical parts.
