Patient Care Coordinator

• Assists registered nurse in planning patient care

• Documents patient care on peri-operative record

Clinical Preceptor

• Performs as clinical preceptor as assigned

• Communicates patient information to the manager

• Documents information

• Charges for equipment and supplies

• Uses computer systems efficiently

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• General:
  • Operation of OR equipment
  • Operation of Central Supply equipment
  • Scheduling procedures

• Specific:
  • Knowledge of procedures done at Crawford County Memorial Hospital and preference cards
  • Understanding of sterile technique
  • Anticipate surgeon's needs
  • Keep a calm attitude in stressful circumstances

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Prefer graduate of accredited Surgical Technologists program (RN's and LPN's are able to function as a scrub nurse with the same orientation as a scrub tech)

• BLS
• Scrub tech certification

Experience Requirements (mandatory and preferred):

• Ability to care for all patient populations

• One to two years recent experience in a surgical setting scrub tech, RN, LPN

• Two years as CNA who exhibits excellent knowledge of sterile technique will be considered

Qualifications

Technical/other training or better in Related Fields.

Experience

2 years:

CNA who exhibits excellent knowledge of sterile technique will be considered

1-2 years:

Recent experience in surgical setting (Scrub Tech, RN or LPN)
