About this role Job Summary Join our dedicated laboratory team and make a meaningful impact on patient care every day. Under the general direction of the Associate Client Services Manager and Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Phlebotomist/CLA plays a vital role in collecting high-quality blood specimens and ensuring accurate laboratory processing. In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws on patients of all ages and entering laboratory requisitions into the Laboratory Information System with precision and attention to detail. What You'll Do
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for patients
- Accurately register patients and enter orders into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Process, label, and accession specimens for clinical testing
- Verify and manage requisitions and specimen documentation
- Maintain proper specimen handling, storage, and transport protocols
- Support overall laboratory workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Travel to other locations as needed to support departmental coverage
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, and infection control standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Previous laboratory experience and computer/data entry experience preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with laboratory systems and computer applications
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and departmental needs
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

- Must be available to train a minimum of three (3) days per week
- Training hours are day shift only, typically 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM (inpatient) or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (outpatient) , depending on training focus.
- Length of training varies based on individual progress and successful completion of required competencies
- Must be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month
- Shifts are self-scheduled using a convenient scheduling app, based on departmental needs and availability
