Job Description Location: Redwood City, CA Only Visa Independent Consultants Qualifications: 10+ years of large scale DBA experience with MySQL or a derivative, including performance tuning, debugging, metrics measurement, security, resilient design and disaster recovery. Experience with Master‑Master and channel based replication including filter definitions and namespace conflict resolution. Expert‑level knowledge of DML optimization/benchmarking for OLAP and OLTP, tuning and debugging including the ability to read and explain the output of "show engine innodb status;" and working knowledge of admin tools such as monyog. The ability to create and manage cloud resources using terraform, chef, consul, python and json. Experience implementing and enforcing controls in compliant environments such as ISO27000, HIPAA SOX, and SOCII. Strong analytical skills, mental resiliency and the ability to think systematically under stress. Highly accountable and willing to take ownership. Outstanding work ethic, high‑integrity, team player, and a lifelong learner. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organisation. Comfortable working in an agile DevOps oriented capacity, alongside development partners. Experience in Document based DB admin such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
