Housekeeping/Laundry

Description Responsibilities Complete housekeeping and laundry functions in assigned areas, including seasonal house cleaning, laundry, floor care and seasonal resident wardrobe switchover, maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents, visitors and staff. Shift Hours Day 6:00am-2:00pm Educational Requirements No supervisory responsibilities with this position. Prefer candidate with high school diploma or GED. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Work Experience Experience related to housekeeping and laundry preferred but not required. Requirements Physical requirements: This job regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, talking, hearing, frequent use of fingers, hands, simple grasping and fine manipulation, frequent lifting, moving, pulling or pushing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to remove soiled linens from a 42? deep container. Working conditions: Noise level in work environment is usually moderate. May involve exposure to body fluids and/or chemicals. Could occasionally be exposed to behavior issues with residents which could result in an unsafe environment. May be exposed to explicit language or gestures by residents. May be exposed to inclement weather, dust/dirt and potential chemical hazards.
