Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantAs a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for handling various accounting and administrative functions for our manufacturing facilities in Fremont, California in addition to supporting the other sites as necessary. Duties will include Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), journal entries, assisting with inventory tracking and audits, bank and credit card reconciliations, and other related general accounting duties. You will also be responsible for light administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies, receiving packages, running errands, welcoming guests, etc. You will report to parent company controller (in Illinois). You will also work closely with the management, operations, and R&D teams located at our facilities to provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting.Responsibilities:Process invoices and payments for AR and APRecord financial transactions in the general ledgerReconcile bank statements and credit card statementsAssist with month-end close and produce financial reportsAssist with set up, tracking, and audits of inventoryAssist with tax filings and audits (as needed)Perform other relevant accounting duties as assignedEducation, Experience, and Requirements:Associates or Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field3+ years of experience in accounting or related fieldLogical thinker with problem solving skills and an aptitude for systems/technologyUnderstanding of accounting principlesUnderstanding of general ledger and accounts payable system functionsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience with QuickBooks and SAP preferred (willing to train the right individual)Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalMust be able to work with all resource levels within the companyMust be able to learn in a fast-paced environment and pivot as needed
