Safety Coordinator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process and manage incident reports and documentation Serve as lead for all compliance inspections (OSHA, Fire, EPA, etc.) Investigate accidents and determine countermeasures. Maintain OSHA recordkeeping requirements and safety training records. Coordinate compliance tests including Medical Clearance, Hearing Tests, Air and Noise monitoring. Order safety supplies and provide appropriate PPE to employees. Generate monthly accident and safety assessment reports. Conduct safety training classes. Lead the Safety Committee. Assist with new employee orientation training. Issue disciplinary warnings and counsel employees. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to demonstrate an empathetic and compassionate listening style. Strong problem resolution skills. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills. Excellent computer skills in MS Office. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Environment, Health, and Safety or equivalent experience preferred, but not required; CSP preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s Degree and/or certification preferred, but not required. Workers Compensation knowledge and work experience preferred, but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
