School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Williamsburg, Virginia

Qualifications and Experience Active RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of Virginia Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting preferred Proven ability to manage care for medically fragile students, including trach and ventilator support Confidence working autonomously outside the main school nurse’s supervision Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, educators, and medical professionals Willingness and ability to accompany the student on the school bus daily Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized nursing care to one high school student with complex medical needs Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and provide trach and ventilator management Remain attentive and responsive to changes in the student’s condition throughout the school day Foster a safe, nurturing environment and recognize changes requiring medical intervention Maintain accurate documentation of care, interventions, and communication with stakeholdersAdhere to all school health policies and procedures while working independently You will be part of a supportive contract arrangement, focused on making a positive difference in a student’s daily life and educational journey.
