We are seeking to add an Independent Contractor to our EHS Consulting practice who has subject matter expertise in Tier II Reporting. This opportunity is for an Independent Contractor only and does not constitute an employment relationship. Independent Contractors must reside in the U. S. and be legally authorized to perform services within the United States.To be considered as an Independent Contractor, individuals must:Operate as an independent safety consulting business (e.g., sole proprietor, incorporated entity, or equivalent)Provide services to multiple clients and maintain a non-exclusive consulting practiceSupply their own tools, methodologies, instructional materials, and business processes necessary to deliver servicesBe responsible for all taxes, insurance, and business-related expensesProvide their own computer, equipment, and tools necessary to perform servicesMaintain appropriate professional liability coverage, as required under the contractual agreementTravel requirements vary based on client engagements, audit needs, and training delivery, and are defined by project or statement of work. Job ResponsibilitiesCompletes routine environmental reports for clients including primarily Tier II.QualificationsEducation & Licensing:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental or a Science related field.Experience:5+ years of experience as an environmental practitioner.Other Skills/Qualifications:Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite. Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates and client representatives at all levels.Ability to work independently or within a team environment.Knowledge of EHS to include environmental compliance at both a national and state level. Self-starter with strong cognitive problem-solving abilities.Motivated goal-oriented individual with excellent organization, planning & implementation, time-management, and quality control skills.Strong working knowledge of sales, marketing, and finance concepts related to operating an independent consulting practice.Physical RequirementsWork is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Periodic travel to customer sites and/or industry and training events may be required based on assignment.Other InformationAt J. J. Keller provides a competitive benefit package which includes the following (eligibility requirements apply): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan, etc. The compensation range for this role is $100.00 to $130.00 which varies depending on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s overall experience and geographic location.
