Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr Responsibilities Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day; responsible for opening the back door for deliveries. Finish product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers. Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits. Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary. Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries. Record all related sales on assigned cash registers, including scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids. Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and in reverse logistics such as returns and empty packages. Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions. Maintain accurate inventory counts, on-hand quantities including basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations. Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed with team members. Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes; ensure proper signage for accurate pricing and local regulations compliance. Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary. Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition; request repairs as needed or on manager absence. Assist with separation of food items and product placement, using first-in-first-out for consumables. Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment. Assist at the pharmacy out window as requested. Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (alcoholic beverages, tobacco). Check bag for team members before leaving the store. Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned. Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager. Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present. Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management. Basic Qualifications One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience. Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Preferred Qualifications Prefer knowledge of store inventory control. Will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
