Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach

JOB SUMMARY:The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach works to assist the head coach, performing all duties in compliance with all NCAA and College rules and regulations. Responsibilities include recruiting, practice planning, player development, and game day duties.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach the sport of women’s lacrosse at the NCAA Division III varsity levelAssist the head coach in recruiting efforts, including evaluating and contacting prospective student-athletes, and completing compliance logs in a timely mannerAssist the head coach in the scouting of future opponentsProvide instruction of team members, including the preparation, planning and conducting of practice sessions and strength training sessionsBe knowledgeable of and work within the Greensboro College and NCAA Division III missionsUnderstand and work with commitment towards creating an environment supportive of Title IXTeach student-athletes specific tasks, while serving as a mentor to team membersAssist head coach in supervision of team travelMust take and pass the NCAA Recruiting Exam annually and be knowledgeable of NCAA Compliance rulesAssist in team community service and community engagement projects. Assist in team fundraising activitiesPerform other duties which may be assigned by the head coach and/or the Director of AthleticsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Undergraduate degree preferredCollege level participation in the sport of women’s lacrosse is preferredExcellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and organizational skillsDetail-oriented and able to work with diverse populationsSelf-directed and able to make decisions independentlyAbility to multi-task, work independently, as well as be creative and innovativeProficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and familiar with other Microsoft Office productsKnowledge of competition and safety rulesAbility to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation #J-18808-Ljbffr Greensboro-College
