Title Medical Assistant Job Type Permanent / Direct Hire Specialty Orthopedics/Outpatient Location Catonsville, MD (Someone flexible to travel to Columbia, MD is a plus!) Schedule Full-time, Monday-Friday, between 7:15AM-5PM (exact hours vary based on patient schedule) Pay Based on experience up to $21/hr, Full benefits package. Job Description This Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patient(s) to see the physician by assessing the reason for visit and documenting past and present medical history into the EMR. Duties Obtaining patient vital signs Provides direct patient care; including but not limited to phlebotomy, specimen collection, injection preparation, wound care, laser therapy, and DME Fit patients with braces, boots, other DME as ordered by provider Maintains consistent workflow, scans documents into the EMR Schedule MRI, CT scans, labs, and other tests Keeps treatment and cast rooms orderly by stocking supplies, cleaning rooms and cleaning instruments Requirements At least (2) years of recent Medical Assistant or Orthopedic Assistant experience in a physician office setting; ortho experience a plus!
