School Van Driver – Buena Park Campus Schedule: Split shift: 6:00–9:00 a.m. & 2:00–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday Work Calendar: School year calendar + 20 summer program days + paid training Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt Salary Range: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour Do you take pride in ensuring safety and supporting students with diverse needs? With over 65 years of serving students with language, learning, emotional, and neurologically-based needs -including Autism Spectrum Disorder - you’ll play a key role in connecting young learners to the support and education they deserve. What You’ll Do Safely transport students to and from school along assigned routes and schedules. Foster a calm, positive, and supportive environment while students are in transit. Support students with a wide range of abilities, remaining attentive to their needs and safety. Maintain compliance with state and organizational safety regulations at all times. Conduct vehicle inspections, follow reporting procedures, and ensure cleanliness of assigned vans. Communicate professionally with school staff, and supervisors regarding student needs, route changes, and incidents. What We’re Looking For Current California driver’s license with a clean driving record required. Must be 23 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with students with special needs preferred. Strong communication, patience, and situational awareness in a fast-moving environment. Ability to follow safety protocols and respond appropriately in emergencies. Commitment to reliability and professionalism - our students count on you!
