We're recruiting for a high-level Accountant position with a premier financial service organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you have 3+ years of experience and a BA degree in accounting, it could be the perfect fit. This role is REMOTE. $25.50 The Accountant is to perform transactional accounting for field offices. Accountant will work in JD Edwards processing vouchers, entering journal entries, processing commissions and period closing reconciliations on a monthly basis. They will also be involved in payroll, 1099 processing, training of new contractors, maintaining relationships with offices assigned and office specific accounting projects. This role supports the Field Offices across the country. Must be able to commit to the role for at least a year, and it could go much longer or get hired on perm. Training typically takes 2+months. There may be possibilities on the team for employee transition. We have a team of accountants that perform day to day transactional accounting, AP, commission processing, and period close. We work here in the Milwaukee Home Office, but we perform the accounting role for the field offices around the country. It is necessary to know how to do journal entries(credits/debits) and understand accounting principles. Bachelor Degree in Accounting is required. The candidate has to be technology savvy and know how to work with: Excel: Ability to maintain and manipulate a worksheet accurately. Outlook: Email and calendaring. This role will have frequent communication with the field offices. Professional communication and proper grammar is required. The candidate has to be able to organize and prioritize their task while working in dynamic environment. The work schedule is 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a half of hour break for lunch. The schedule can be flexible with appropriate cover and notice.
