Real Estate Analyst - Multifamily

Job Description

We are seeking an Underwriting Analyst to join a growing real estate investment team focused on multifamily assets in the Chicago market this Q1 2027!

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 1-2 years of experience in real estate investment, acquisitions, underwriting, investment banking, or a related field
\n
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
\n
• Understanding of real estate valuation, cash flow analysis, and investment returns
\n
• Familiarity with multifamily real estate and/or the Chicago market preferred
\n
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced investment environment
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Underwrite multifamily acquisition opportunities, including detailed property-level financial models
\n
• Analyze operating statements, rent rolls, capital expenditures, financing assumptions, and market data
\n
• Build and maintain cash flow models, return analyses, and sensitivity scenarios
\n
• Conduct market and comparable property research to support investment decisions
\n
• Assist with due diligence and evaluation of prospective acquisitions
\n
• Prepare investment materials, underwriting summaries, and presentations for internal review
\n
• Track and evaluate investment assumptions throughout the acquisition process
\n
• Collaborate with senior team members and external partners including brokers, lenders, property managers, and other advisors
\n
