Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-Hour Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15

The Medical Surgical Unit is in need of a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients with varied diagnoses. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care effectively and efficiently while adhering to established protocols.
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and medication administration as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimum patient outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patient conditions through continuous assessment and documentation using the EPIC system.
• Float to other similar units as needed based on staffing requirements.
• Adhere to infection control practices and maintain patient safety at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical setting.
• Current BCLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
