Position Summary:This position performs startup, defrost, shutdown, and other activities in the freezer. Works as directed by the Supervisor, working on the production line, adding and testing chemicals, bringing out product from the cooler, cleaning equipment, weighing and dumping mushrooms, and monitoring how the entire process is functioning.Applications Accepted By:Fax or Email: View email address on ziprecruiter.com

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent preferred.
• 1 years in production work and familiarity with production equipment.
• Working knowledge of Packing and Transportation operations a plus.
• Valid operator’s license for forklift and electric pallet jacks.

Job Description:Role and Responsibilities:

• Assists the Cold Storage Production Supervisor as needed.
• Sets up, operates, and shuts down all the equipment on the mushroom line.
• Responsible for equipment checks and processing forms for production and food safety objectives

Physical Demands:

• To be able to work in temperatures ranging from 30 - 34 degrees all day

• To be able to lift 10 to 20 pounds

• The ability to park trucks when needed to

• Always required to see with or without corrective lenses.
• Occasionally required to balance, stoop or crouch.

Work Environment:

• Always required to act professionally.

• Occasionally exposed to a variety of temperatures, weather conditions and sound levels.
• Occasionally exposed to hazardous conditions requiring personal protective equipment.
• Ability and ensure requirements to work in area where machinery to move product is being operated as well as slicers and other equipment which may be deemed hazardous.

• Always required to read and understand words and numbers
• Occasionally required to analyze, study, compare and report.
