Senior Due Diligence Consultant

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Crimes Due Diligence Consultant within the Corporate Politically Exposed Person (PEP) Team. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:Making determinations on PEP status, assessing PEP risk levels, understanding complex PEP customers and networks, and documenting rationale related to PEP.Drive successful results and continual process improvementProvide support to interpret policies, guidelines and governance programsReview and analyze PEP processes or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternativesExercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverablesAggregate, evaluate and report results and escalate where necessaryPresent recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the PEP function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements.In this role, you will:Participate in conducting due diligence programs on moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within functional area and contribute to large scale planning related to functional area deliverablesSupport business in execution of due diligence reporting processes and controls, interpret policies, guidelines and governance programsReview and analyze client onboarding processes and challenges that require research, investigation, evaluation, and selection of alternativesProvide subject matter expertise on documentation and data sources and exercise independent judgment to guide moderate to high-risk deliverablesCompile and evaluate report results and escalate when necessaryResolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet functional area process deliverablesLeverage solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers and internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goalsRequired Qualifications:4+ years of Due Diligence experience, or equivalent (including risk management, client service, operations support, or business process management) demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:3+ BSA/AML experienceExperience supporting a Political Exposed Persons (PEP) program by making determinations on a Political Exposed Persons (PEP) status and assessing PEP riskExperience conducting Financial Crimes related research, analyzing the results of the research, and summarizing the results of the research and analysis in a clear and concise mannerExperience with interpreting and analyzing PEP related World Check and World Compliance reportsBS/BA degree or higherProficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skillsStrong time management skills and ability to meet deadlinesMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to identify, cross-reference, and articulate ambiguous information and act accordinglyAbility to think strategically, implement, and deliver business objectivesAbility to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple prioritiesOperates independently with minimal supervision, and effectively manages work requests to meet performance expectationsAbility to operate effectively at both a conceptual level and a detailed levelProven experience building partnerships, collaborating, and influencing key stakeholdersAbility to collaborate with geographically dispersed teamsAbility to navigate through ambiguity and maintain momentum driving for results and clarity in uncertain situationsPay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
