Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position covering multiple ICU units, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and flexibility to work nights and every other weekend.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool position covering four ICU units: Surgical ICU (SICU), Medical ICU (MICU), Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), and Oncology ICU (OICU)
• SICU cares for trauma patients, surgical complication patients, neuro patients (including TNK), and open-heart surgery patients
• MICU cares for critically ill patients with exacerbated medical comorbidities
• CCU cares for patients requiring additional monitoring following cardiac procedures
• Oncology ICU cares for critically ill oncology patients and those requiring chemo inductions
• All ICU units manage DKA, ETOH withdrawal, and other patients requiring an elevated level of care
• Three 18-bed ICUs and one 6-bed Oncology ICU
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required, including both Saturday and Sunday
• Holiday coverage may be required for any holidays that fall within the assignment period

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Flexible scheduling availability strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

• Float pool role requires adaptability across multiple critical care units with varying patient populations
