Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation — to provide individualized patient care
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care
• Perform patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age- and population-specific standards appropriate to the assigned clinical setting
• Function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Ability to practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to professional nursing standards and code of ethics

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with inter-professional care coordination and patient education practices
