Shipping Clerk: Rochelle, Illinois

Our customer in Rochelle, Illinois is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as Shipping / Shop Help on 1st shift. This position plays an important role in ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely movement of shipments while supporting shop operations.

Responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk:

• Coordinate transportation to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the appropriate channels.
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Make special shipping arrangements as needed.
• Ensure the quality of all services provided meets company and customer standards.
• Assist in developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
• Verify inventory counts and assist with physical inventory as required.
• Track and resolve shipping errors.
• Provide general shop assistance as needed.

Shipping Clerk  Requirements and Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Previous experience in a similar role or knowledge of millwork preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers, software, and technology for inventory and communication purposes.

Pay for Shipping Clerk:  $18/hour

Schedule:  Monday – Friday 7:00am-4:30pm, OT as needed.
