Pharmacy Consultant, ManagerWillis Towers Watson is looking for an energetic individual with growth, pharmacy, clinical and client facing expertise to join our growing team. As a Pharmacy Consultant, Manager you will be at the forefront of managing pharmacy benefits projects for clients and leverage your experience as a pharmacy benefits expert to make recommendations on plan design and management. You will participate in new business activities and the creation of new intellectual capital. You will position yourself to grow into a senior relationship management and/or leadership role by serving as the subject matter expert on pharmacy projects and working alongside industry experts on cutting edge solutions. The ideal candidate is a patient-centric problem solver who possesses the ability to balance client clinical needs and business growth. You will collaborate with a strong team of highly experienced consultants within the practice as well as engage in cross-functional activities. A pharmacist is preferred but not required.Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunityResponsibilities:Lead client Pharmacy engagements for a portfolio of Small to Medium clients and/or significantly contributes to large clients in support of:Pharmacy benefit plan analysis, design, clinical and cost savings strategiesPharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) vendor procurement, negotiation, and implementationAudits of PBM performance (financial and operational)Strategy for Specialty pharmacy productsSupport clients in navigating pharmacy concepts, strategies and results that effectively drive action and improve plan performance, by preparing teams for meetings or directly presenting in meetingsHas advanced experience across all Pharmacy activities and demonstrates knowledge of emerging trends and best practicesUnderstand client needs and preferences; anticipate questions in advance and identify solutionsInfluence key client decision makers by soliciting their perspectives and addressing their stated needsLeverage advanced knowledge of industry trends, available products/solutions and carrier/vendor differentiators to inform and influence client Pharmacy strategiesDevelop and maintain ongoing relationships with employer and vendor primary contacts to build and enhance WTW and Health & Benefit's brandProvides leadership to more junior colleagues on pharmacy concepts, strategies and toolsConduct final quality reviews for all types of Pharmacy deliverablesBuild relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teamsActively support new business and prospecting activitiesContribute to intellectual capital developmentContribute pharmacy and other related perspectives to the broader health and benefits strategy and growthQualificationsThe Requirements:8+ years' experience in clinical strategy, pharmacy benefit management, analytics, growth and consultingDeep understanding of the pharmacy benefit management and US healthcare ecosystems, either at a PBM, health plan, health tech company or as a benefits consultantPBM account executive experience strongly preferredA dynamic, strategic thinker not afraid to challenge the status quo by asking the hard questionsAble to change ambiguity into clarity, action and outcomes in a high paced environment that requires the ability to multitask and prioritize.Passionate about patient outcomes, client relationships and working with cross functional teamsEngaging speaking skills with an ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively; ability to speak credibly about clinical, technical, financial aspects of Willis Towers Watson's offeringsExperience in training/mentoring junior staffExcellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPointAvailability to travel on an as needed basisBachelor's degree required, Master's and/or PharmD degree preferredFor pharmacists; actively licensed in home state and in good standingState Life and Health license required within 90 days of joiningCompensation and BenefitsBase salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation.
