PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional performance in their role, embodying Ranch core values, and upholding the standards set for Forbes Five-Star Properties. This position ensures guests receive therapeutic and relaxing massage treatments. By providing personalized and high-quality bodywork, the Massage Therapist contributes directly to the property’s reputation for excellence and guest well-being.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer a variety of massage techniques customized to individual guest needs and preferences. Collaborate effectively with other spa team members, front desk staff, and wellness professionals to ensure seamless guest experiences. Between services, prepare locker and treatment rooms according to spa Standard Operating Procedures including linen changes, sanitation, and restocking amenities. Complete daily opening and closing checklists; aid spa attendant in maintaining a pristine and tranquil treatment environment that adheres to strict sanitation and hygiene protocols. Work proactively, remain calm in a quiet luxury environment, and adapt to changing guest needs. Adhere to all state licensing regulations and internal company policies regarding massage therapy. Consistently uphold brand standards of luxury service, professionalism, and guest confidentiality. Accurately record guest preferences, treatment details, and any relevant observations in the spa’s booking and record-keeping system. Actively listen to guest concerns and adjust treatment plans accordingly to maximize therapeutic benefits and satisfaction. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Spa Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist in a luxury spa or similar high-end environment. Current and valid state massage therapy license. Proficient in various massage modalities; additional certifications (e.g., prenatal, reflexology) preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills with a strong commitment to guest service. Demonstrated empathy, discretion, and a professional demeanor consistent with Forbes Five-Star standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs. Manual dexterity and physical stamina required to perform massage techniques effectively.

COMPENSATION
