OB GYN Laborist - Federal Way

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our OB Laborist physician, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Federal Way, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of women's health cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group. To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board‑certified, and compassionate OB/GYN physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex Women’s Health disorders, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient‑centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. Full‑time position based at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, WA, a 124‑bed Level III trauma center. Join 5 OB/GYN physicians, 6 CNMs and 2 APPs at this location. Schedule requires 24‑hour onsite shifts (7 per month) for labor and delivery coverage, collaboration with CNMs and ED coverage for GYN emergencies/surgeries. The group handles approximately 120 deliveries per month. Care includes both gynecology and obstetrics, including high‑risk obstetrics, with typical case mix: vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C and laparoscopy. St. Francis has a special care nursery capable of caring for infants as young as 32 weeks; partner facility St. Joseph Medical Center has a Level III NICU; partnership with Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care if needed. VMFH Women’s Health Service line includes 6 MFM’s, 1 urogynecologist and 2 gynecologic oncologists. Federal Way is located along the Puget Sound Inlet in the Seattle‑Tacoma metro area. Job Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN.
