This full-time, contract position will immerse you in the world of young learners from August 17 through May 27, 2027. You’ll be based onsite, working directly with energetic and curious students, helping shape their appreciation for music and fostering creativity.

Ideal candidates will bring a passion for teaching, a solid understanding of curriculum design, and experience delivering instruction to young children.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field
• Current Illinois Professional Educator License with the proper endorsement(s) for music instruction
• Knowledgeable in curriculum development and classroom planning for early childhood or elementary students
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct engaging K-2 music classes, tailoring lessons to grade-level milestones
• Create a positive, supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive musically
• Develop and adapt instructional materials that introduce fundamental music concepts
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance student learning experiences
• Assess and document students’ progress, providing feedback that encourages growth
