X-Ray Technician - Follansbee, West Virginia

Deliver comprehensive X-ray imaging services and support patients and clinical teams using advanced radiology technology in a contract role. This opportunity calls for a skilled technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic procedures and operate state-of-the-art equipment in a dynamic care environment.


Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts, steady afternoon and midnight coverage
• Every other weekend midnight shift

Key Qualifications:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid West Virginia X-ray License required prior to start
• ARRT certification
• Must submit an unexpired driver's license at application
• Experience in General X-ray, Portables, Fluoro, and OR imaging a must; first-time travelers are welcome
• All licensing hits must be disclosed upon submission

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct a range of general X-ray studies, operating room cases (including cystos, ortho, GI), and fluoro procedures
• Float between general imaging, fluoroscopy, and OR as needed
• Work with various imaging equipment: Del Medical, Siemens, Philips, OEC C-arms, GE AMX portables, Konica diagnostic rooms
• Accurately input and manage imaging data using EMR (Community Works) and PACS (Intellirad/Intelliconnect)
• Deliver up to 110 studies per day in a department staffed with 6-7 techs during peak hours and fewer overnight
• Function independently, including occasional solo coverage during overnight shifts
• Observe professional, clean dress standards (any color scrubs permitted; emerald green option to match staff)
• Participate in department orientation with five preceptor-led shifts
• Adhere to weekend and potential holiday shift rotation
