Job Summary
SPAN Enterprises is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative to fuel our outbound pipeline. The core of this role is prospecting and cold outreach—researching target industries, building your own lead lists, and making cold calls to spark interest and build genuine connections with prospects. Your primary focus is turning cold leads into warm, qualified opportunities and handing them off to our Business Development team, with the opportunity to be involved in closing deals as you grow in the role.
You will sell our suite of tax compliance e-filing products (TaxBandits, Tax990, ACAwise, and ExpressExtension) to businesses, nonprofits, and tax professionals nationwide.
What You Will Do
- Make consistent daily outbound cold calls to prospects, both from provided lead lists and self-sourced research.
- Research target industries and companies to build your own pipeline of leads
- Initiate contact, spark interest, and build rapport to move prospects from cold to warm.
- Qualify leads against defined criteria and transfer to the Business Development team with clear, accurate notes.
- Support or participate in closing conversations as opportunities arise
- Log all outreach, activity, and lead status in CRM
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to improve lead quality and refine outreach approach.
- Stay current on SaaS and tax compliance industry trends to speak credibly with prospects.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of SaaS sales experience, including cold calling, working lead lists, and closing deals
- Comfortable with high call volume and confident on the phone
- Experience researching industries/companies to self-generate leads
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and resilient in the face of rejection
- B2B SaaS experience preferred; tax, compliance, or fintech experience a plus. xhyhwjd
