Overview Direct Support Professional II - Asleep Overnight. This role acts as a caregiver for individuals with an intellectual disability, developmental disability, or an acquired brain injury (ABI or TBI). The position requires customer service skills, administrative skills, and compassion for others. Pay: $20.50–$24.50 per awake hour (range details provided below); $17.50 per asleep hour. Starting pay is $20.50 per hour. Additional differentials are available: $1 per hour in Cape‑based programs, $4 per hour in Martha’s Vineyard programs (except $3 at the Franklin Street program), and an additional $1 per hour for employees with active MAP certification (not applicable at non‑Franklin Street programs on Martha’s Vineyard). Responsibilities Support Advocates are responsible for the provision of day‑to‑day services to program participants, including assisting with personal care (bathing, toileting, teeth brushing), household maintenance, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and supporting individuals to assume greater responsibility for their daily lives. They may accompany participants to appointments, administer medications according to guidelines, and follow personal care plans and behavioral support plans. Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history). Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team. Support Advocates receive a paid 5‑day new employee orientation program and training in CPR/First Aid, safety care, defensive driving, and the Medication Administration Program (MAP). Additional program‑specific training is provided at the work site. Qualifications 18+ years old. High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required. 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
