Certified Medication Technician

CMT (Certified Medicine Technician)FT/PT/PRN positions availableResponsibilities:Medication Administration: Administering oral and topical medications as prescribed by a physician, under the guidance of a licensed nurse.Record Keeping: Accurately documentating all medications administered to residents, based on their specific charts.Pain Management: Notifying appropriate licensed staff when a resident reports pain.Other Tasks: Performing other duties as assigned by the agency.Policy Compliance: Ensuring all medication administration practices align with agency policies and procedures.Safety: Prioritizing the safety and well-being of residents when administering medications.QualificationsMUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST FOR EMPLOYMENTEducation: Completion of a 20-hour CMT training classExperience: At least one year of experience working in a care-giving setting.Lincesure: A valid CMT license from the MBON.CPR/BLS/First Aid: A current valid CPR/BLS/First Aid certificate from the American Heart Association (AHA).Open availability, able to work various shifts to include weekendsCurrent CPR/First Aid certificationPhysical and 2 Step PPDAble to lift, position, and transfer patientExperience operating a Hoyer liftCompassionate, respectful, committed to excellency and a good attitudeReliable transportation.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRNSalary Range: $17.50-$19/hr* Apply on gingerlycares.com - hover over careers tab and click pre hire forms to apply for CMT (Certified Medicine Technician) position.
