• 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri) Hybrid - 3 Days in Office

Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $ $87758 - $116285.18. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join our Team as a Senior Cost Accountant!

S&C's Finance & Accounting (F&A) organization is responsible for the maintenance, analysis, and reporting of accounting and financial information, along with safeguarding the company's assets. In this job, you will play a key role in our F&A team supporting our Production Operations business partners. The work associated with this job includes providing support through analysis of inventory, product costing, Oracle systems support, and financial analysis. In this role, you will report to the Manager-Cost Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze cost trends and gross margin performance, identify and resolve anomalies, and develop reports that clearly communicate significant variances and insights to stakeholders.
• Evaluate the costs of existing and proposed products to identify trends and drivers and recommend actions to improve product profitability.
• Assess inventory levels, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Assist with the annual physical inventory & cycle count programs.
• Maintain, generate, and analyze periodic inventory reports.
• Analyze inventory, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Support budgets and financial forecasts.
• Perform month-end close activities, including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries.
• Provide financial guidance to the Production Operations group on cost accounting questions and issues.
• Analyze data discrepancies and assist with identifying corrective action and process improvements.
• Develop and prepare account reconciliations, annual audit work papers and assist with auditor inquiries.
• Play a key role in the improvement of financial processes, reporting, and enhanced use of financial and ERP systems.
• Support general ad hoc analysis and manufacturing transaction problem resolutions.
• Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

• Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
• Ability to gather and analyze detailed financial data resulting in recommendations to business leaders.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work with various stakeholders and cross functional project teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Oracle ERP
• Cost accounting experience

Preferred

• Power BI and/or Power Automate Experience
• Manufacturing Experience
• CPA or CMA
• A master's degree in accounting or finance
