Floor Care Associate

Job Summary Provides and maintains a clean and sanitary environment by ensuring all floor surfaces and restrooms are properly maintained. Increases customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent and compliant operating conditions. Responsibilities Keep sales floor, liquor store, offices, breakrooms, backrooms, training rooms and approximately 70% of restrooms orderly and free from safety hazards. Operate floor care and department equipment, using associated tools and chemicals. Sweep and/or vacuum mats and rugs, return them to original location, and remove spots from carpet. Dispose of trash and perform restroom deep cleaning. Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated, fostering confidence and loyalty. Deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for clean and sanitary stores. Offer customers assistance in finding or suggesting products. Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained. Adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, USDA, and other relevant regulations. Execute all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner, ensuring items are secured and removed from customer access. Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and inspecting for unsafe conditions. Notify management of customer or employee accidents. Report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud. Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies and regulations. Cultivate a culture of safety within the store and ensure all associates are trained and equipped with PPE. Ensure equipment is in good repair and assist with remediation of safety hazards. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED (or equivalent). English language proficiency required; Spanish language proficiency preferred. Minimum 0–3 years of relevant experience, preferably supervisory. Must be 18 years of age. Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same. Successful completion of pre‑employment drug testing and background check. Strong customer service skills. Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills. Environmental Factors Retails – general heavy physical demands; standing, walking, manual dexterity, repetitive movements, reaching, lifting up to required weights. Working conditions may include indoor, outdoor, cold, heated, wet/humid environments. Exposure to hazardous equipment, sharp objects, loud noise, irritants, dust, fumes, sprays, and cleaning solutions. Required equipment: cleaning supplies, office equipment, register, scanner, and material handling equipment. Required personal protective equipment: goggles, gloves, back brace; lifting requirement up to 250 lbs, pulling up to 50 lbs. Shift & Travel Shift(s): Varied shifts.
