Clinical Psychologist – Veteran Disability Evaluations
We are looking for a committed Clinical Psychologist to become a part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this role, you will electronically review behavioral health records through a secure web portal and carry out thorough in-person assessments for each Veteran.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
- Examine and interpret electronic medical records via a secure online platform.
- Carefully document findings from assessments and complete necessary VA forms.
Note: This position does not include treatment or medication prescriptions. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the psychologist.
Position Overview:
- Schedule: Full-Time, 5 days a week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Location: Hybrid, combining Telehealth and in-person evaluations.
- Caseload: Approximately 4 Veterans assessed daily.
- Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A compassionate psychologist with a commitment to aiding the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities for reviewing medical records and assessment data.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
- A professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.
Qualifications:
- Possesses a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program.
- Holds an active and unrestricted psychology license.
- Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation.
