About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience License: South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Required to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MS/Tele. Shifts are 4x12s, working nights from 7 PM to 7 AM. Patient ratios are 1:5. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. On-call duties are rare, if required, it is for the first 4 hours. Travelers should be flexible to accommodate unit needs. All vacations and time off must be included during the submission process. Please ensure familiarity with the Epic charting system. Nurses will encounter a range of patient age groups from adolescents to geriatric patients. Daily census information is expected to be around 10 patients. Unit support includes interdisciplinary services such as IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. All staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Travelers should be aware of the importance of compliance with lab requirements prior to their start date. Candidates with prior experience at the facility must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler. It is preferred that candidates have previous charge experience, although not required. This role involves various skills such as interpreting dysrhythmias, managing ports, and administering blood products.
