We're hiring a Sandblaster / Shop Hand to support daily operations in a busy machine shop environment. This role involves blasting, cleaning, material prep, and assisting mechanics with pump teardown work. The shop is non-climate-controlled, so candidates must be comfortable working in varying temperatures.

Large national service and repair operation that specializes in industrial pumps, rotating equipment, and field/shop support for customers in oil & gas, manufacturing, chemical plants, and other heavy-industry sectors.

Sandblaster Shop Hand Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $16.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 05:00pm)

• Sand Blasting — prep and clean parts using sandblast equipment
• Bead Blasting — surface finishing for metal components
• Painting — apply coatings as needed
• Cleaning & De-burring — remove sharp edges and prep parts for assembly
• Using Shop Tools — air grinders, electric grinders, cordless drills, hand taps, and similar tools
• Forklift Operation — strongly preferred
• Overhead Crane Operation — move heavy parts and equipment
• Assist Mechanics — support dismantling and cleaning of pumps and components

Sandblaster Shop Hand Qualifications:

• Experience with sandblasting is required
• Ability to safely use grinders, drills, and hand tools
• Forklift experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Able to lift, stand, and perform physical labor throughout the shift

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
